Use the Property inspector or the Layer inspector to change the stacking order of layers.
In HTML code, the Z Index determines the order in which layers are drawn in a browser. You can change the Z Index for each layer separately using the Property inspector, but the following procedure is much simpler.
To change the stacking order of layers:
1 | Choose Window > Layers to open the Layer inspector. |
2 | Select a layer in the Layer inspector and drag it up or down. |
3 | Release the mouse button when a highlighted area appears between the layers. |
Don't release the mouse button when a box appears around the name of the target layer. Doing so places the layer you're dragging inside the target layer, creating a nested layer.
The layer at the top of the list is at the top of the stacking order.
